I loved the atmosphere and the decor. The food was a 6 on a scale of 1-10. The service was horrible. The gentlemen we had for a service had to be the worst. I ordered a soup and he brings the me the wrong one. I waited nearly 10 minutes before I saw him again and had to waive him down for him to come to the table to see what I needed. I politely explained to him that this isn't the soup I ordered and if he could exchange it for me. Instead of being apologetic, he actually scoffed and took my soup and came back with the correct one another 5 minutes later. This time, he brought me the correct soup but didn't bring me a spoon. I had a fork and knife on the table. So again, I had to wait for him but he Houdini out of the dining area again. I finally saw him again and waived him down and he seemed annoyed by the fact that I kept asking for service. I asked him if I could have a spoon for my soup and he acted as if I was asking for something unreasonable. This is the only the beginning but I would NOT recommend going here unless you like being treated like dirt. I worked in the service industry and this by far is the worst example of customer service. I still tipped the guy 15% just out of principle but I WILL NOT ever eat here again.

Frozen food at best! Decor goes with the continual theme of Bass Pro and is nice however does not help with the lack of taste of the food.

We went into Islamorada Fish Company in ordered seafood gumbo. While waiting on our food, we watched two waitresses eat food from another customers tray, then carried them the food. Then when our Gumbo was brought to our table, it was cold. The roux was congealed. We will not go back. That is not the way to run a business.

The food was very good. It's a little pricier than average, but good food and a great ambiance. Don't let the fact that it's attached to Bass Pro Shop fool you; this isn't a casual, 'food-court' esque place. It's a nice restaurant and a great place for a date! We were there for about 10 to 15 minutes before anyone came to our table, so I deducted a star for that. But overall, I liked it and will be back.

It was dinner time and we drove past the Bass Pro Shops and swung back around. We decided to eat here since we had gone to the trouble of getting back to the store. If you are coming from the parking lot directly to the restaurant, there is a nice wooden walkway to use. There is water off to one side and the walkway is lined with a rope netting and there is an old airboat near water. There is a sign to "Beware of Gators". It is Louisiana and there are swamps. When you enter, the bar area is visible first. There are huge aquarium tanks which divide & are visible in the bar and dining area. Those aquariums are spectacular! Since this is a fish company restaurant, it makes sense to use marine items as their decorations! There are sea creatures hanging from the ceiling and on the walls. There are lots of pictures of guys with what they've caught. In the center of the dining area, there is a round fireplace. 360 degree view, pretty cool and unique!! We were brought complimentary bread which was quite good, a little sweet, and was warm. We started out with Clam Chowder & the Appetizer Sampler which included Crawfish Tails, Onion Rings, St. Louis Spare Ribs, and Spinach & Artichoke Dip. I enjoyed the dip! However, we could have done without the other items. They were nothing memorable. The clam chowder was tasty! We gobbled it up quickly! I wished I could report that we had better than lackluster service. According to other reviews, this is par for the course. Our waitress started out fine. After she brought out our bread & appetizer, then she disappeared. I don't know if it was her time to be on break or if she was just hanging out (within our eyesight) with other employees, although I'm unsure of their work status as well. Perhaps that is how they "work" in this part of Louisiana? I'd prefer to think not. Our service went on a fast downward spiral!! We saw our dinners just sitting there in the window and there was nobody to bring them to our table. It was a while, but our server finally brought them out and the food was NOT hot. So disappointing! ** Cold food is not what I ordered! My husband & I shared the Pick Two Platter (Fish & Chips and Alligator). ( yelp.com/biz_photos/isla… ) I can't remember what the bright green stuff was, but I didn't eat it. The fried fish was as expected, a good choice! However, I have yet to try gator that I like. My daughter got a NY Strip with Mac & Cheese, and green beans. Her steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was seasoned well. I ate her green beans, I love veggies and I didn't have any with my plate. The mac & cheese has an added substitution cost of $1.95. ( yelp.com/biz_photos/isla… ) The food was alright but we probably won't come back if we are ever in the area, and I'll take a pass on the service (or lack of it). I hope y'all get the service under wraps or you'll lose more diners! If you took as much care with your guests as you did decorating your restaurant, you could have something.

Just spent 36 bucks for two people on lunch! No lunch menu? What's up with that? Also the food wasn't that great, but what made it worse was the waitress was rude and treated the table of five like dirt. Like so many of the other reviews complaining about the service, we had the same experience. No refills, waitress responded " nope" to any questions on the menu , and never came back to ck on us after our food arrived. There was only two other tables of customers on our side. But still slow service. Food took 35 minutes (salads and sandwiches ) after we ate, we had to flag down the waitress for our ck, waited another 25 minutes. They have room for improvement.

We looked forward to another Friday night out all week. We had been here a little while after they opened and weren't really impressed, but, thought we would give 'em another try. Upon entering, I couldn't help but notice that for a Friday night they were almost void of customers. We followed the signage that directed us to wait to be seated...and wait...and wait...and wait we did. Four staff members, who saw us from their various positions at the bar, said and did nothing. I strolled to the inner area of the restaurant, past the bar, and came upon an open entry to the kitchen. Several people were working in this area and I stopped when I saw one man who seemed to be directing and at the same moment he saw me. He asked if he could help and I asked if he could find someone to wait on us as we had waited long enough on them. All the wait staff seemed to be barely trudging through their shift. A very unhappy crew that couldn't even bring themselves to smile much less muster the energy to clear the tables after patrons finished. The food was not at all what you would expect for the price and venue. Baked potatoes were not freshly cooked and everybody knows what a refrigerated leftover potato tastes and feels like, especially when it won't melt butter. The calamari were very bland and rubbery. The coconut shrimp barely had coconut and shrimps were very dry, overcooked. The steak was good, the green beans were ok, but, everything was cooled by the time we got it and the 100mph ceiling fans weren't helping. We had asked for water with our meal and finally got it about half way through. I don't hold wait staff responsible for the food quality. Tips are entirely proportional to service. Just a friendly attitude could mean another buck. Just imagine what great service could have earned. My Synopsis: Another case of mistaken identity. What I thought to be a really great looking seafood restaurant, like you would find at a seaside, turned out to be just a ship run aground. A hopeless crew on a hapless journey to nowhere in particular. Without a set course, or even a wind in its sails, it has mired itself in the sands of time and is becoming forgotten. Again.

If you want true Cajun food, DO NOT GO HERE!!! The flavor is not authentic, you can tell it's all frozen, not fresh food. The only reason I ever take my family there is so my children can eat breakfast with Santa or the Easter bunny and get first in line for pictures at Bass Pro! The food is poor the service sucks and the managers are more interested in their female employees to notice how terrible the restaurant is being run!!!

Nasty freezer burned garbage! I gave them three tries and they struck out! Service was terrible the first time, really good the second, and abysmal the third. The fish was so old that the flesh had turned yellow. The burger was utterly devoid of seasoning or flavor, and the Cesar salad was wilted and brown. Management obviously did not give a damn. The only time they showed any interest is when I refused to pay for a rotting salad. Go across the street to the steakhouse for a good meal!

Food was okay, service was HORRIBLE! We stopped on a Monday at 2:30pm. The waitress was perturbed by taking our drink order of 2 sodas. Upon receiving our food, she grabbed my husbands empty cup and started shaking the ice and ask if he wanted a refill... Really!! When she brought the cup back, both plates had the napkin placed on top and pushed to the far corner of the table. She proceeded to go and sit at a table and carry on a clearly audible and lengthy conversation with them, before coming back and asking if we were finished. When she brought the check she opened it in his face and waited till he put the card in it. When she brought it back, there was no leaving salutation. Luckily we are traveling and do not live in a place with such a lack of customer service.

This restaurant is truly average. I would not go out of my way to dine here. The only times I have gone here was when I was when I got hungry after shopping at the Bass Pro Shop (given that it is inside the store) and when I had gotten some gift cards for buying a vacation promotion. The food was very your very typical burgers, fries, fried fish, salads, etc. Don't get be wrong, it was pretty descent typical food...just please, do not go out of your way to eat here! If you are at Bass Pro Shop, there are other excellent restaurants within walking distance of the store. I am not trying to knock the food, but just know you have options.

Islamorada is the restaurant attached to Bass Pro Shops. This restaurant was decorated to fit the theme of a fancy fishing lodge. Giant models of fish adorned the walls, a huge fish tank separated the bar from the dining room, and a large open fireplace was the center of the circular dining room. While it was attractive, the food was not very good. We started with an order of BBQ chicken nachos. The chicken was dry and flavorless. The rest of the nachos were OK, but would have been better without the chicken. My entree was a cheeseburger. It was cooked properly, but was just a standard chain type burger. Service was fairly slow despite not being very crowded. Because the restaurant is so large, it seemed that the servers had to walk great distances between the kitchen and tables. I think this contributed to the long waits between visits to the table. if you are at Bass Pro, and have nowhere else to go, give this place a try. If you have kids with you and they need entertainment while you eat, this place may be worth a trip. If not, I suggest you go elsewhere unless you absolutely love generic chain food.

I wanted to edit this review, because on Easter Sunday, my daughter and I got decent service and GREAT FOOD. I was so happy with it!! I added a star. But I can't forget the past.. So here is that.. The food is usually mediocre, but the mahi mahi sandwich is very good when it is in season. Overall the service is pretty bad and slow. My daughter likes to come here because of the mini corn dogs and the decoration, so we still come sometimes. I've just learned to lower my expectations while we're here.

My experience here can be summed up in one word: YIKES! The evening before Father's Day, I joined my grandparents, my aunt, and my aunt's fiancé for dinner. We attempted to go to the LongHorn Steakhouse, but since the wait was 45 minutes, we opted to go over to Islamorada Fish Company. I wish we'd just waited at LongHorn. The food wasn't very good at the Islamorada Fish Company. I had some of the Appetizer Sampler, which my grandparents ordered to share, and my aunt and I ordered the Top Sirloin and Island Grilled Mahi to split. The shrimp on the appetizer sampler had a nasty aftertaste, and the pineapple chunks that came with the Island Grilled Mahi tasted like men's cologne. No joke. I'm not sure what was done to them, but they did not even come close to a normal pineapple flavor. At least the grilled pineapple slices were OK. The wild rice that came with the grilled mahi wasn't very good either. By the way, where the menu said "fresh vegetables," it means green beans (unless it changes regularly). Additionally, the service was SLOW, and the server seemed to be having a hard time keeping things straight. It took a long time for our appetizer and for my grandparent's cocktails to come out. When they did come out, the flash fried clam part of the appetizer was cold, and my grandmother's frozen margarita was already visibly melting. Also, it took quite a while after the appetizer was delivered for our server to return with small plates. When the entrees were delivered, no additional plates were offered, and an additional steak knife was not provided for the items my aunt and I split, despite our specification that we'd be splitting the 2 dishes. (We ended up just forgetting about the extra plates and sharing the steak knife.) Then, later in the meal, we couldn't find our server for a while to ask for more ketchup. When she did bring the new ketchup bottle, it was completely clogged and exploded everywhere when we removed the lid to clear the clog. When I was a server, it was part of the job to make sure all bottles were full & clean, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a working ketchup bottle. I'm just glad that my grandfather is a good sport and seemed to enjoy spending time with the family despite the dining experience.
